A Heavy Equipment Technician, also known as a HET, is a technician who works in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and other commercial transport. HETs work in noisy, physically demanding environments and are required to lift and transport heavy parts in hard-to-reach areas. HETs also work full time, often working on weekends and in the evenings. A postsecondary education is often a better option due to the technical complexity of HETs' jobs.

An electrical process engineer is a technical professional that designs and tests electrical equipment. He or she also has to supervise the manufacturing process. This profession requires an in-depth knowledge of design, technology and mathematics. He or she should also be creative and remain abreast with new technologies. A specialist skill set is also required, such as layout and drafting.
